A garage door off track is both a nuisance and a safety hazard. Whether a roller has popped out of the vertical track, a horizontal track has been bent, or a roller door curtain has jumped its guide, our technicians realign and secure your door properly so it runs straight and quiet again.
Common symptoms you'll see or hear
- ✔ Rollers visibly outside the track
- ✔ Door skewed or crooked in the opening
- ✔ Bent, kinked or twisted track sections
- ✔ Door jams at the same point every time
- ✔ Scraping or popping noises during travel
- ✔ Roller door curtain rubbing or bunching in the guides
Why this failure happens
The most common cause is impact — reversing into the door or bumping the track with a car, bike or trailer. Loose track brackets, worn rollers and a broken cable can also let a door drift out of alignment and jump the track.
On roller doors, debris in the guides, worn guide strips or low drum tension can cause the curtain to wander and catch.
How our technician repairs it on-site
We secure the door, release tension where needed, then straighten or replace damaged track sections and re-seat the rollers. Tracks are plumbed, spaced and re-fixed with new brackets where required, and worn rollers are swapped out.
We test and adjust balance, motor limits and sensors before we leave, and you approve the price before work begins.
Frequently asked questions
Can I push the roller back in myself?
It's not recommended — the door is under spring tension and can shift suddenly. Call us instead.
Do I need a new track?
Often a bent track can be straightened. If it's kinked, we replace only the damaged section.
Do you fix roller door guides?
Yes, we repair roller door guides and guide strips as well as sectional door tracks.
